Graduation Weekend

Hey everyone!

I’ve had a lazy evening.

I decided to forgo exercising in exchange for watching a few episodes of Gossip Girl.  Kimberly has been telling me for awhile that I will enjoy this show.  I’m always looking for a good television series, so I was quite excited when the first DVD of the series hit the top of my Netflix queue.

Continuing with the lazy theme, I also decided to keep my dinner preparation simple.

eggdinner

Eggs with sautéed kale and onions.

Eggs, sweet potatoes, and veggie burgers are my “go to” easy dinners.

What are some of your easy meal ideas?

I’m certain this evening’s laziness has much to do with my crazy weekend.

I traveled to Charleston for a big event…

My graduation.

Yesterday, I walked across the stage and officially obtained my Specialist (masters + 30 hours) degree.

Guess who else was awarded with a masters degree?

16

Stephen!  He received his MBA.

We were so lucky to celebrate each others’ accomplishments on the same day!

It was a day to celebrate!

I can’t believe graduate school is practically over!  I still have 3 weeks left of my internship and a very long final paper to write, but the end is so near!

Real world, here I come! (Maybe I should not be excited so about this fact.)

Afterwards, both of our families went to dinner together.4

After dinner I made the 3 hour drive home to the Upstate, so I could make it back in time to go to work today.  I arrived home at 11 p.m., quickly unpacked, and then hit the sack.

I was so caught off guard by my alarm clock this morning.  Oh boy, it was difficult to get myself out of bed!

Today been a long day, and I’m so ready to catch up on some sleep.

But first…..

Check out my graduation present!

Presented with some pretty ribbons.

I can’t wait to try out some new juice recipes!  Let’s hope my new juicer makes future juicing more efficient than my last futile attempt!

Excited to see what you think of Breville’s juicer. I just invested in their Blender (the Vitamix will need to wait until I’m practising law at least!) and I’ve been really happy with the results!

P.S. Thanks for your tip on the blog feed – I’ve updated it to make sure it’s current from now on!
