Before I forget to tell you all, something exciting happened this summer!
Lily’s Health Pad was featured on About.com’s Vegetarian Food Blog because Jolinda wanted her readers to read a non-vegan’s review of vegan macaroni and cheese.

Sunday evening, while Bob’s Raisin Bread was cooking away in my oven, I decided to make a large batch of Irish oats in order to save time on this week’s breakfasts.
(oats with chia seeds, dollops of pear preserves and Barney Butter, and a sprinkling of raisins)
Let me tell you, I have been SO thankful for this week’s pre-made oats. They have expedited the morning breakfast process, thus allowing me extra minutes of precious sleep.
And oh, how I need sleep! I’ve been dragging since Monday night’s impromptu decision to stay up well past my bedtime and watch the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion show.

I don’t know why I concern myself with such garbage.
But I do know I’ll be tuning in next week for Part II.
Lunch was a frozen meal.

But not the kind I used to eat.
Did anyone else grow up calling these tv dinners? (Please say I’m not the only one.)
This “tv dinner” is actually homemade adzuki bean stew!
Check out the goodness of this soup.
Adzuki beans, sweet peppers, cilantro, onion, carrot- chock full of nutrients.
I’ve been eating a lot of these homemade frozen meals for lunch since I began my new job. The convenience just can’t be beat!
Dinner was a chickpea curry.
This is the best chickpea curry recipe known to man! It totally beats the recipe I posted last December.
Finally, once I hit ‘publish’ I’ll be indulging in the 2nd half of this deliciousness.
Question: Who’s your favorite Real Housewives character of all time (from any season)? Least favorite?
I’m off to watch some Gossip Girl before bed. Season 3 came available on Netflix this week!

I loved the Housewives of New Jersey and NYC too… luckily I can’t get sucked into watching it anymore since we only have basic cable! It’s so addicting.
You just inspired me to make soups to freeze for easy meals later!

I love tinas blog. good job!
OMG. you had all these guests posts and didn’t tell me so I can stalk you? ::HI LILY’S DAD!:: Anyways, I LOVE how I talked about lentils and you have tonza beans and shizzle in this post! And RH is the BEST guilty pleasure of all time…after a hard day at work, I don’t wanna be watching CNN and political shizzle..I wanna watch some WEAVE PULLING. I heart Bethenny …and ANDY COHEN!
I’ve just recently gotten into doing my own frozen meals! I still have a couple “tv dinners” in my freezer for backup, but the ones I make for myself are always waaaay better! Yours looks fab!
OMG how can I choose?! Probably bethenny, as I feel we’d be bffs. Really enjoy alex, too. I dislike plenty of them, but in a love to hate kinda way
Ridiculous reality tv is kinda the best. Helps me forget about stress and bad days…and reminds of normalcy!
I love that you make your own frozen meals! Such a good idea!
