That Darn Cat

IMG_1991

I know he looks like a sweetie, but let me tell you, it’s an act!  He is constantly doing naughty things.  Such as…

chew2

Chewing through my sleep mask last night!!

 chew

(I can see the smirk on his face.  Can you?)

My optometrist actually recommended I sleep with one of these. I have very dry eyes and it helps keep them closed and lubricated at night.  Thanks to the Linkster, his mommy woke up with red, scratchy eyes this morning.  RRRRrrrr.

Anyway, enough about Link.  I promise will try not to turn LHP into a cat blog.

Onto today’s meals…

Breakfast:

1

Hodgson Mill Muesli, sweetened with mesquite powder, and almond butter

2

Lunch:

4

leftover homemade salt n’ vinegar chips

I followed Angela’s recipe, but I made half red potatoes and half sweet potatoes.  The sweet potatoes definitely worked well with the salt and vinegar!

Dinner:

Whole wheat pasta with a vodka marinara sauce, veggie stir fry, and peas.

I’m not really sure what kind of peas though.

The stir fry was a mish mash of turnip, turnip greens, onion, yellow squash.

Sautéed with garlic, pink sea salt, and olive oil. (My favorite way to cook anything!)

Who else is excited about this weekend?

I am especially stoked because Diana is coming to town!  I’m taking a mini road trip to Charlotte in order to meet her.  Diana has been a big supporter and commenter on my blog since the beginning.  We have a couple tricks up our sleeves, so stayed tuned for a post about our Charlotte escapades!  A Trader Joe’s visit is already in the works. :-)

P.S.  Don’t forget to enter my CSN Stores Giveaway.  Right now your chances of winning are reaaaaaally good.

P.P.S Anyone catch the dragon fruit on the Top Chef finale?  The winner served his dessert in the pink dragon fruit skin.  Not sure when the episode aired.  I watched it yesterday while working out on the elliptical.

When you sleep with the mask, do you find it hard to wake up in the morning? I like having natural light wake me up and have always wondered if those mess with circadian rhythms?

Yay for coming here to Charlotte! Can’t wait to read about your escapades :)
